Your Name

Your name was like a spike on a cactus plant. Drawing blood from my face, leaving me pale. The sight or mere mention of it would create a thousand countless ripples from a devastating tsunami to crash onto my lands. My judgement would get fogged. My mind blurred with an elastic veil that trigged an upsurge of emotional imbalance. That I drowned myself tenfolds, until the currents made me learn to swim in your ocean of pain that laced through each throbbing vein. I remember your name would leave me restless, even a faceless dream told me it was you. But today, I can see your name, I can hear your name, and not be tossed into that turning sea of personal hell. Your name can appear before me and I’ll be a stoic statue, unmoved and without a heart when it comes to your name. My land has left you forever as the tsunami waters disappear.
